A few days ago, my website visitor counter surpassed the 3 million mark, which of course made me very happy. I started the blog in 2014 as an online knowledge base and never imagined it would ever reach more than 3 million views.

Many thanks to all readers and also to people who leave comments / improvements.

Blog closure

Due to steadily declining visitor numbers (partly due to AI, but possibly other reasons as well), I will be discontinuing work on this blog after exactly 12 years. What does that mean exactly? No new content will be created, but the old articles will remain online!

Some of you might be wondering what prompted me to take this step. Well, quite simply, I wanted more time for my family and my career.
