Exchange Security Update October 2022 KB5019077

Microsoft released a new security patch for Exchange 2013/2016/2019 some hours ago. Procedure for installation is the well known one, like the last security updates. This link is the official Exchange Team Blog.

NOTE: Those who thought this patch may fix the zero day issue from september 2022, I can tell you; It does NOT. This information is related to the Exchange Team Blog which has a big red NOTE. Workaround or EEMS have to do the trick.

Of course Microsoft recommends to enable extended protection EP, but lot’s of customers can not activate because of this enormous limitations. See them here.

There is no homework after installing this patch, but I personally recommend to start Exchange health checker.
